Hit and Run struct at Granada HIlls Charter High School

On Friday afternoon at 2:30 pm, junior James Thibodeaux was ran over by a hit and runner in a faculty parking lot at Granada Hills Charter High School (GHCHS) because of a dark relationship they both had with each other.

Thibodeaux was rushed to the Holy Cross Medical Center in Granada Hills by the ambulance. He suffered with critical conditions where he broke several bones in his leg and cracked his head against the pavement as a result.

According to Amy Thibodeaux, the mother of James thibodeaux, her son was on crutches after being injured in recent football game that he had at GHCHS.

Sophomore Jasmine Imbroglio, witness and friend of Thibodeaux, witness the scene and reported to the authorities. According to Imbroglio, it happened as she was walking toward her car from the main office.

“He glanced both ways before he crossed the street. But he never looked straight ahead, so he never saw the car coming out of the parking lot. He was talking on his phone and just wasn’t paying that much attention. It was horrible. The car wasn’t going very fast, but it knocked him down, and I heard this sickening crunch as it ran over his leg,” said Imbroglio.

The suspect was later recognized as Charlotte Bowers by Imbroglio. Bowers was Thibodeaux’s ex girlfriend and recently broke up due to a rocky relationship they had.

“James was having this big fight with his psycho ex over a CD she wanted back. The girl’s name is Charlotte Bowers.” said Imbroglio

Authorities are still investigating the scene at the school currently while looking for the suspect.
