This semester, I wrote about 3 official news article while 2 practice ones. In the beginning, I struggle writing them where I have often gotten a C on one of them over time. However,  I sorta got the hang as we begin to write more news articles where I transition on receiving a C to a B. I feel the reason why I struggle writing them is that I am so used to writing in-depth essays over time. Compare to essays, I learn that news article is basically having the writer to get straight to the point which I enjoy due to not allowing the reader to read an in-depth introduction paragraph. The format of a news article is that it has the writer to utilize the inverted pyramid. The inverted pyramid is a step by step process of writing a news article where it must contain the extremely important information in the lead in order to grab your audience's attention.  The lead would have the 5 W ’s about the situation that the writer is writing. However, as your audience begins to read the article, it would get less important over time. Besides formatting, I feel that people who struggle writing English essays would be suited for this type of writing. In fact, some news article can be really short if it does contain a small amount of information. Overall, I really enjoy writing this news article because it is really simple to do where I am able to write in an hour compared to a 4-5 page essay for English.
