Unlike news articles, sports articles are somewhat different. Most sports articles have a lead that explains the score, date, time, and players that impacted the game over time. In addition, the writer is able to add in their own personal opinion about the game. This further allows the reader to be able to use their sense of creative writing compare to news articles. In addition, I personally enjoy writing sports articles in general even though we only wrote about 2 of them this semester. The sports articles that we wrote were the red rover and GHC’s cross country team. In addition, I received a decent grade for both of them as well where I transitioned on receiving a B to an A which I am very proud of. In the beginning, I felt that I would not be a fan of writing sports articles in general where I do not really watch sports at all. The reasoning behind it is that the games can be very boring to watch at times where I somehow to lose interest in it over time. However, as mentioned earlier, I did not have a problem writing about them. In addition, I hope that we are able to write more sports articles next semester. From my personal perspective on it, I feel that sports articles are much easier to write about than a news in general. In addition, I feel people who are a huge fan of watching sports, can enjoy writing a sports article due to only talking about the situation that took place in the arena. Besides writing about the game, sports articles can be very political as well in terms of management and business between the teams.
