Spring Semester Reflection
Overall, the spring semester was good as the fall semester. I was able to learn how to write new different kinds of articles, which are the opinion articles, review articles, and documentaries. However, the best articles I ever wrote were the movies reviews. In class, we watched “The Perks of being a Wallflower” and “Shrek 2”. Afterward, we wrote for movie reviews and were graded by my Journalism 1. As for opinion articles, my class and I wrote multiples of them. However, I really enjoyed writing these articles because I was very passionate about them. For example, I wrote the Inclusion rider and how it will not affect Hollywood’s problem with diversity. Also, I wrote about how dark literature should be pushed into children’s entertainment and how summer school should not be a graduation requirement at my school. Lastly, I enjoy creating a documentary about the different kinds of fashion style with my peers, where we really bonded in the process of establishing it over time. Out of all the articles we wrote for this semester, I think the article that took the most time to write about was the opinion articles. The reason why that they are the most difficult to write about because I am kind of use to listing all my point in one sentence in an essay where instead the writer needs to spread their reasons throughout the article. Plus, the article needs to have good transitions in between over time. Overall, I had a good time writing articles and creating a documentary with peers, where I am looking for the future in the class over time.
